There was no reason for the youth to attack
stabbing a stranger in his chest
gone before anybody had a chance to view
just evaporated into the crowd
no motive for this violent and senseless act
not way for the thug to be tracked!
This was the scenario detectives first thought
on their initial theory
but no evidence was found or then a motive
more victims were stabbed
it seemed in the same pattern in each case
what did they actually face?
Symbols were found branded on the bodies
the knife wounds seemed burned
these questions became urgent was it a cult
frustration was mounting
many descriptions of the killer easily misread
into black magic would tread!
Panic ensued as more corpses were found
none had identification
experts of the occult their assistance sort
creatures began roaming
somebody somewhere had created the spell
allowing demons from hell!
Never the had authorities listened to witches
an unprecedented action
the search was on for the perpetrators temple
powerful magic being exerted
as spirituality began to overwhelm our society
with mankind losing his piety!
Together police religious and the occult leaders
were united into a pact
to counter act the dark forces growing power
over elements of good and light
all those sacrifices for the evolution of evil
and innocent souls for retrieval!
The massive search soon centred on a church
now no longer consecrated
then used for drugs and sex since abandoned
ideal for the wicked to flourish
the soulless dominions could fester and grow
overseen by the watchful crow!
Swat teams surrounded the gothic looking church
chanting could be heard
echoing rhythmically as they tried being quiet
guns poised uncomfortably
knowing this time they were not taking the lead
yet itching for the action to proceed!
An elite squad of soldiers led the preplanned way
but where stopped at the door
unable to get passed the large painted symbols
until the witches removed the spell
allowing them to enter the demon’s evil church
upon the precipice they did perch!
Flying creatures attacked them they fought
bullets were of no use
coming from all ways then just vanishing
several were stabbed
by the familiar small vicious daunting beast
their horror ordeal increased!
Chanting close the witches present prepared
for a battle of their own
determined to stop the growing dark chaos
reseal the rift being opened
in unison their own incantations now recited
to banish evil goodness reunited!
The hardened soldiers were silently terrified
not being a flesh and blood enemy
could only cower and watch the ensuing battle
as the creatures swirled around
making a shocking sound as the two factions
came to blinding interactions!
Out side flashes sounds and earth tremors
left everyone fearing the end
a huge bright beam of light shot skywards
throwing those present
vehicles to tossed like toys over the ground
as a shock wave did rebound!
Instantly the building began rapidly crumble
rescue squads rushed forward
as the group emerged from the cellar region
all the spells were broken
they rushed assist but several did not return
as a raging fire began to burn!
The area had to be immediately evacuated
the site was imploding
the joint intervention appeared a success
for the agencies involved
cautiously declaring this but hard to accept
or give the occult groups respect!
Yet even as they celebrated deep below
a new terror did grow!
