Exist!

Can we be certain that in this world of mystery

ghosts or unseen life does exist all around us

many have said they have seen dark shadows

figures that just seem to appear then disappear

maybe talking with them as if it were normal

sometimes sensing a touch or cold draft of air

these sightings and feelings not only in the dark

in daylight to that are terrifying and stark!

 

Could devils and demons or even vampires exist

there has been endless stories and films made

seemingly living forever telling they are real

mythology or fact can this theory really be true

strange tales told that still have no explanation

as there is so much we just do not understand

in our daily toil are there things we cannot see

in our space other life forms roaming free!

 

What does exist out of our spectrum of vision

can mankind this possibility envision?

True Love!

He had waited it seemed so long for love

then his heart pounded

at an office party found himself drawn

to a very alluring lady

had never seen her before this night

beautiful a pure delight!

 

They talked and danced until early light

they were meant to be

eventually parted after a passionate kiss

confirming their second date

over the next few months love bloomed

he was unaware it was doomed!

 

At the start all was a life of magical bliss

within a month moving in

love-making was good yet it felt wrong

she acted too clinical

soon noticed she did not eat anything

or drink alarm bells did ring!

 

From that initial attraction suspicion grew

there was a coldness

he had not noticed before becoming wary

yet she looked so perfect

decided it best to end this strained affair

his life with her could not share!

 

Why had he got that reluctance to explain

why his feelings had changed

but summing up the courage now spoke

she seemed more distant

as they sat together on the large settee

he just wanted to be free!

 

From being truly elated he had found love

to dumping the stunning woman

but he had become terrified being close

after the words were spoken

her mood changed and the reply stark

as venomous words it did spark!

 

Without emotion said he could not leave

had never loved a human before

was an android living within our society

he was shaken to the core

got up to escape this beast foolishly said

its hand hit his head!

 

Down in the busy street a body battered

on the pavement spattered!

 

He never did find his true Love!

This is not funny anymore will have to go

was it ever love we had or lust

my heart aches our feelings cannot show

deep within we both lacked trust

so much older wanted to slow the action

you disagreed so lost my interaction!

 

Your wild spirit could never hope to curtail

realising it would turn into resentment

feeling in the end my efforts would only fail

walking out your anger would vent

a quiet male could not say that word to you

was time up my exit overdue?

 

It was wrong my emotions taking command

in the street recognised your face

longed to say I love you and hold your hand

these deep thoughts quickened my pace

your happiness the one important fact did feel

gave you that space emotions so real!

 

Many thoughts made my legs heavy to move

a voice said do not be a fool turn back

instantly knew my love for you had to prove

must get back on the right track

returned home you were standing at the door

we declared our love looking at you in awe!

 

Now it’s clear our lives will be forever entwined

my soul mate lover and friend this deal signed!

 

A romantic at heart yet never found true love

but can imagine that it can be found

its said love makes our small world go around

in this society where it feels like hell

surely must never give up believing in hope

where it is harder for many to cope!
