Compelled!

In disbelief he stared at the dead bodies

somehow was compelled

by a voice to kill these victims no choice

now in the hotel room

began to feel sick still holding the gun

realising what he had done!

The voice had gone quiet what was he to do

intended going to the police

inside his head it felt this would explode

shaking in a shocked state

at that second the voice softly to him spoke

no longer wanted to choke!

Told him to leave there was no need to grief

enemies to be eliminated

so  left the building with no more remorse

and went back to work

totally unaware of the killings he had done

in a waste bin put the gun!

A darkly dressed man retrieved the weapon

in another city far away

a well dressed woman walked into a diner

several men sat drinking

she looked around casually drew a hand gun

shot them walked out did not run!

Outside threw the gun into a large waste bin

and went to meet her friend

at once a street cleaner emptied the rubbish

another horror scene

both assassinations done by ordinary folk

who from a deep sleep had woke!

In another country the teenager got off a bike

into a small shop entered

where several people were just looking around

pulled up a scarf over his face

from a pocket took out a gun without hesitation

shot each one without confrontation!

Exactly the same pattern of events of the others

as if being told cycled off

but placing the weapon in a convenient bin nearby

this continued unabated

leaving police forces perplexed without evidence

as the crimes got more intense!

At this time the body count rises as more are compelled!
