Contact!

He remembered the sun always shone

birds sang the air smelt fresh and crisp

it was peaceful during his childhood

always laughter that sense of security

simple pleasures playing with friends

each day had meaning without threats

there was unity and only small debts!

Always a sense of purpose and routine

less news was able to be broadcast

smart phones were not around to use

more people communicated by talking

most families making their simple fun

were interacting not gazing at screens

safer to play out no fear of violation

certainly far less deadly confrontation!

Everything now seems to fast no sincerity

but little has changed in the threats

as you walk the streets or in your homes

cyber crime makes the blood run cold

you have to face the dangers alone

neighborhood policing no longer exists

psychopaths terrorize in the shadows

as society continues to decompose!

Contact I remember of human interaction

created collaboration not obliteration!

Terraced House!

The couple moved into a new terraced house

one of only four erected

built in the gardens of a run down building

soon after the woman gave birth

a healthy son was born all had gone very well

nothing out of the ordinary to tell.

Both were doctors living in eastern Europe

living far from family homes

one morning the mum laid on her bed

her son in a cot close by

she began to feel hot a pressure on top

not able to make it stop.

Unable to move as pain in her head grew

like an entity trying to get in

her vision faded she could only see static

like a television with no signal!

from relaxing on the bed and feeling fine

that pain moved up the spine!

As it began the sensation suddenly went

and her temperature dropped

able to move she got up all seemed fine

the child was still asleep.

on her arms saw the bruises and scratches

in nasty looking patches!

Petrified at this spiritual violation they left

their dreams and house bereft

with fear from that day were never certain

in the house the entity did remain!
