Predicted!

They predicted the end of our civilisation

giving the date for an ancient prophecy

nibiru would collide with earth foretold

but this did not happen society goes on

they were not deterred they got it wrong

so another date was rapidly to us given

no doubt that moment may well arrive

as it gets harder in this society to survive?

 

A large planet said to be in the solar system

all the stars in thousands of years aligned

an expert said our time was really ended

yet here we are into another perilous week

as tornadoes earthquakes and volcanos erupt

at an increasing and unprecedented ferocity

unrest and violence unfolds before mankind

many apocalyptic scenarios are defined!

 

A catastrophic event will overwhelm us eventually!

Epic movies!

Those epic movies depicting the worlds destruction

the predicted end times

gamma-ray bursts from the sun setting it in flames

violent earth quakes

nuclear disasters either by terrorist attacks or war

where mankind is no more!

 

Alien invasion enslaving us or taking over our minds

meteorites hurtling earthbound

is far from a new concept the history of humanoids

yet many dates have come

passing by with life still here in some kind of form

of a physical platform!

 

An inevitability that one day something will happen

there is always a never ending dread

that with much conflict of so many volatile men

as misunderstandings have happened

it will eventually with such lethal weapons escalate

at an unstoppable deadly rate!

 

Yet for many years they have predicted the future

long before there is a chance

such scenarios were ever conceived a possibility

almost like a warning to us all

that we need to change the direction of our actions

to stop any doomsday transactions!

 

The movies are getting more intense is the time near

when the truth is exposed

what we have seen and been thrilled upon the screen

becomes a reality not fiction

as if a pre-planned history and written screenplay

that will make mankind really go away!

Eruption!

It had been warned over centuries the eruption

of a volcano under a park

the surface the outer crust of a bubbling inferno

where animals freely roamed

experts with conflicting opinions and scenarios

whether or not the lava blows!

 

Speculation of a day animals stampeding in panic

heading out of the national park

earth tremors shaking the ground as tensions rose

the area  about to explode

every roadway and tracks becoming thermogenic

humidity steaming and thick!

 

A vast landscape of mountains and sloping forests

deep lakes with rolling plains

it would be devastation if the eruption did befall

in this wondrous locality

those who lived around the park contemplated

were their futures fated?

 

On a warm summers day it began the sun rising

the dew quickly evaporating

a wonderful scene to gaze upon a normal day

though faint tremors

hardly noticeable in the beginning escalated

swiftly became unabated!

 

It soon became apparent that the unthinkable

a long predicted eruption

of  this picturesque national park had begun

it was known the surface

was the vast crust covering the volcanoes top

and lava nothing could stop!

 

Years of planning made evacuation much easier

but the scale unprecedented

fast flowing molten lava and gases accelerated

overtaking those fleeing

a huge black cloud ascended into the clear sky

and light to man did deny!

 

Lava swallowed up land or it crumbled away

the once idyllic views lost

an enduring darkness and coldness began

spreading around the globe

humanity would have to battle nature as one

for its survival to be won!

 

Could this scenario happen it seems very possible!
