Free!

Within the once vast and open wilderness

where wild animals were free

passing their lives without intervention

from hunters and seekers of land

killing the prey for their breeds survival

fearing no human arrival!

 

No more their security and safety assured

as the numbers rapidly dwindle

some becoming extinct as the killing excels

left to die in agony and pain alone

poachers only interest the profits they make

not the misery they create!

 

The rich and ruthless have no mercy to give

for any destruction of animal life

nor the ever advancing human colonisation

and their shrinking habitation

creatures who should live and be protected

by many their rights not respected!

 

Man thinks on earth he is the superior being

not caring species are rapidly disappearing!

Free!

Has it not always been the right of us all

to be free from slavery

making our own choices not controlled

not locked up or chained

treated no better than a pile of rubbish

wanting to die your only wish!

 

Free to make every decision as you grow

not to be told how you think

with your every movement manipulated

never to choose your direction

to speak out without hostile reactions

for each of your actions!

 

In a paranoid society there’s hypersensitive

to keep their secrets

but think nothing of the public’s privacy

as our lives are hacked

at the moment we still have free thought

soon that to will be caught!

 

Being totally free is a myth most do not see

as days pass us by liberties are lost

rights we should have eroded from the law

we become reliant on electronic aids

believing everything we are told is reality

coming dark times do not foresee!
