Caressed!

On a humid late August evening

the couple sat on a bench

the sun gave them the spotlight

romance filled their thoughts

until in the skies they witnessed

a plane the air it caressed!

To them seemed it had just taken off

yet no sound in their ears

as they felt the surging passion to kiss

the plane stopped in the sky

surely an unimaginable gravity action

now becoming a total attraction!

Thoughts of love on a summer’s evening

gone staring in disbelief

was moving backwards how could it be

still there not descending

or crashing upon the township below

minds confused did not know!

Nobody else was anywhere to be seen

holding their gaze necks strained

again came to a halt how could this be

moved in a forward motion

speeding up as helicopters approached

unmarked on its space encroached!

Within a second became a saucer shape

disappearing as if dissolved

running petrified at this weird sight

what was happening above

an unsolved mystery that is spreading

our future should we be dreading?

Increased sightings of strange craft in motion

going against our understanding

what enables them to fly in our atmosphere

are they of extraterrestrial origin

or human intervention hidden from our view

the masses just want to screw!

Most unaware of dangers that surrounds them!

The Band!

Excitement was high as the growing audience

waited with anticipation

for the heavy metal band to come on stage

known for outrageous shows

and their interest in occult and devil worship

it would be the ultimate trip!

Ferocious Beast name of the six member band

came upon the large stage

with a crescendo of sound and flashing lights

through thick dried ice smoke

leather clad with black menacing face paint

starting without constraint!

Into their set the band pounded the loud music

soon the mesmerizing voice

of the bewitching lead singer reverberated out

everyone listening was hooked

as if hypnotised by the clear words and tone

for them the seed was sown!

Huge speakers broadcast every syllable and notes

to the audiences willing ears

demonic images flashed onto viewing screens

at a pulsating high-definition pace

as cowled figures mingled amongst the throng

the intensity became strong!

Into the night the passion excelled to fever pitch

physically and mentally exhausted

they collapsed as the band left the stage in triumph

their message had been delivered

bedded into memories of the fans and believers

who had been welcome receivers!

The band moved onto their next awaiting disciples!

The Pledge!

The pledge that was made to this young man

filled him with a passion

thinking he would be fighting for his beliefs

against the true enemy

this was how it was sold to this genuine being

but from himself was fleeing!

Like so many had been drawn to follow religion

but as too often is the case

words twisted and created making it like a calling

brought together as a family

the promise of a better way of life in unity

in one large community!

Once drawn in realized life meant much more

it was a hollow dream

finding compassion and love was not the aim

unable to escape the horrors

death came far to soon the allusion shattered

his body torn and battered!

The relatives shocked with no remains to mourn

their faith apart torn!

Stalled!

The old car his pride and joy was running well

early summer decided to take a trip

into the countryside to a nearby historic town

it stalled outside an empty building

unable to get it running decided to take a tour

of this place wanted to know more.

The car had overheated it had happened before

and somehow felt compelled to walk

as if guided down a pathway to a large garden

the rear of the large house

where he had parked then entered the gate

not for a moment did he hesitate!

For some reason the house seemed so familiar

and at the window a woman waved

then as he neared the glass doors opened wide

and she came out to greet him

soon was in her arms then went happily inside

but why became mystified?

The smell of perfume soft sweet intoxicating

it did not feel like his own life

but captured in a long passed scene replaying

yet the passion and love real

suddenly everything changed to a deep sadness

the house now a total mess!

Another vision saw the lady hanging from a beam

taking her down and holding

the limp body he gently held within his arms tight

tears he shed pain so deep

darkness filled his mind finding himself all alone

on the grass outside prone!

Nobody was anywhere in sight now on his feet

made the return walk to his car

that dizziness soon cleared sat back in the seat

put the key in the ignition

started first turn had to take another glance

had he relieved a lost romance?

From the window she watched him go!

The Busker!

Why would nobody want to listen to his music

the passion that kept him going

from an early age he just wanted to be heard

then his parents could not see

the simple melody’s he wrote were so pure

words people would adore.

Never thinking he was special just wanting

everyone in his passion to share

begged for a guitar for his twelfth birthday

self-taught himself to play

his parents taken aback by such dedication

never-ceasing determination.

Without money to send him to music college

they could only encourage him

and at fifteen made a decision to be a busker

let the public hear the music

finding a spot by the bus station began to play

any nerves soon gone away.

The wonderful music and simple words flowed

and the crowds began to grow

those of all ages enthralled by the young man

on his own playing the guitar

confidently with a joyful style loudly singing

into their ears the sound ringing!

Happy now his songs with people he could share

not for money but unity he did care!

Passion!

It was only a moment of passion that lead

to an emotional turmoil

so much pain foolishly falling allowing

himself to be taken in

she was married at the time did not know

letting his desires grow!

She overwhelmed an inexperienced youth

still cocooned at home

without sexual thoughts or complications

his pride his game console

until he started in full-time employment

willing to give consent.

Thrust from virginity to a new perception

thrill of a much older woman

six months on she began of him to tire

as the truth began to dawn

realized he was just a diversion on the side

no moral code applied!

Only her break from a long stagnant marriage

with no loving connections

he another victim as the woman digressed

the husband no longer cared

but the youth simply left to learn a bitter test

certainly an experience to ingest!

Maybe those memories of  an  intense passion

would turn from bitterness to conquest!

Behind The Barricade!

Behind the barricade each were equal

no distinction prevailed

expressing vocally their nation’s pride

unity of wills and passion

afraid that their identity would be lost

at an unforgivable cost!

From a peaceful but loud demonstration

good-humoured and fun

violence erupted and that moment gone

becoming more sinister

cries now not of joy but panic and pain

as comrades now lay slain!

Behind the barricades placards discarded

the tensions increasing

peaceful protests lost to a radical element

as the acrid smoke rises

from burning tyres and missiles thrown

the future now unknown!

The once calm and familiar city centre

streets and communal parks

now battle zones raging out of control

and the ripples of rebellion

no more talk and discussions to dwell

they enter the realms of hell!

On the precipice their lives on the edge!

Out Of Time!

They sat close yet somehow out of time

sharing  a passionate embrace

pale trying to mask their active presence

that private moment pursued

both lost in an innocence and intimacy

of such an intensity.

Not brash nor loud a true young love

you could feel emotion

closer bonding as each second elapsed

no lies told between them

every word true from heart and mind

their souls were aligned.

Sharing one cup of tea like a love ritual

she sat face hidden by a hat

every visual facial movement was hid

a private viewing for her man

their essences were entwined as one

brighter than the burning sun!

Out of time they went into their own  dimension!

Waiting!

Waiting all my life  for that moment

missing out on love

chemistry between man and woman

always that loser

facing each day without the passion

in any fashion.

Forever watching and ever regretting

the isolated observer

destined to endlessly recollect the past

as the years ebb away

sometimes happy many times so sad

guilty not to be glad!

Knowing others must have this emptiness

that nobody notices

loneliness has no age limit being universal

blundering onwards

a smile an acknowledgement a life line

an encouraging sign.

But for some there can be no hope!

That Defining Moment!

That defining moment at the final flag

in the motor sports

or the last long blow of the whistle

at the end of a ball game

the preparation the long journey made

their focus displayed!

Training to be an athlete on the track

like in every sport

dedication and sacrifice to win a prize

amateurs aim for medals

professionals focused on the money gain

increased wealth to maintain!

Myriad of fans pursue their heroes on this quest

even though they struggle

passion is high in sport each split second counts

or every goal the aim

to reach that peak the best in their sport

perfection is sought!

There are the few greats classed as the elite

who seldom know defeat

we watch with desire and that revered awe

then are honored evermore!

That defining moment that brings us together!
