Started!

Started like any other weekend with three mates

worked hard in the week

so why not have fun when your work was done

met in the town centre

just after ten in the evening at their favourite bar

after that the night became bazaar!

 

Music loud the booze flowed and they all flirted

with the girls behind the bar

until a stunning woman came over for a chat

as she mesmerized the trio

at the beginning friendly and macho chitchat

thinking she was a pussy cat!

 

But the rivalry began as jealousy was exhibited

she was enjoying teasing them

this was when she offered the small purple pills

they assumed she was a dealer

but alcohol had muddled their thought process

took them as over her did obsess!

 

At some point walked away her task completed

the chemicals quickly acted

his mates collapsed onto the crowded dance floor

medical help called but too late

both had a seizure their life forces ceased to exist

their destruction could not resist!

 

Somehow he managed to leave once in the air fell

unconscious on the littered street

everybody walked around this drunken reveller

as he found himself in a field

relaxed with no head ache on a bright sunny day

with the smell of fresh-cut hay!

 

No noise of music or lights or that crowded bar

his last clear memory

seemed real how had he been transported here

confused stood upon the field

as towards him a familiar female now appeared

that for some reason feared!

 

She spoke coming up closely to his surprised face

glad you survived my potion

into my world you are the one I want to share

her face changed to a grotesque mask

she exposed fangs bit into his neck felt the pain

the adrenaline filled his brain!

 

Darkness then flashing blinding colours erupted

screaming violently thrashing about

awoke with a jolt in a fast food outlet dazed

opposite the woman sat staring

two coffees on the grubby table gripped his hand

was this a permanent dreamland?

Saturday Night!

Already the effects of the alcohol made her feel ill

but could not let her friends down

she was having fun their night had only just begun

loud laughter everyone swaying

a regular Saturday night out drunk on a city street

a buzz she believed could not be beat!

 

Crowded music was loud adding to the excitement

no hint of any dangers close by

though their laughter would soon no longer be heard

panic replacing joyous banter

revellers were talking as junks of masonry began to fall

a beast soon their flesh would maul!

 

A huge dark shape swooped from thick cloudy skies

colliding with many their bodies shattered

crushing them with its claws and razor-sharp beak

at first they could not comprehend

hundreds scattered from this an unexpected scene

with images understandably obscene!

 

It was jumping and flying down amongst the buildings

as many disintegrated in its wake

others were instantly snatched by the long sharp claws

at such a speed was impossible to tell

at a party being held at a night club on its roof top bar

he was filming a situation so very bizarre!

 

There originally to record the celebrations of the guests

his attention quickly drawn away

glimpses of the attacker looked like a prehistoric beast

those around were panicking

as the night lit up with what seemed glowing spheres

from space adding to their fears!

 

Chaos reigned above human noise a deafening cry

that put those fleeing into a frenzy

some fell from the roofs others just lost rationality

all the time he filmed as he ran

tripping over the falling self-preservation his aim

no way in the vicinity could remain!

 

But with a few from the party tried so hard to escape

the army blocked their only route

firing with no hope of success at the swooping thing

huge yet so agile and aggressive pursuit

through the underground managed to leave the scene

then danger that was unforeseen!

 

Thinking it would be safe to go back up on street level

had not account for more of these invaders

as they were picked off one by one the camera rolled

even when knocked unconscious

the others fatally wounded until the breaking of day

their bodies spirited away!

 

He awoke weak unable to move at these aliens mercy

knew there was no chance of rescue

going into shack his soul was nearly ready to depart

the best swooped and he was gone

the video camera fell upon the rubble strewn ground

no longer part of this battleground!

 

It would be sometime before his footage came to light

the young woman survived her nightmare plight!

 

But it would be a long bloody fight to victory!

Room!

As the business woman approached her room

tired after a long day

from within she could hear voices and music

playing loudly surprised

checked her key card to confirm the number

so needing her slumber!

 

Intrigued but unsure cautiously entered inside

slowly pushing the door

stepping within it all became absolutely silent

yet every light was on

as she stood to survey the room a blurry figure

walked out going through her!

 

Taking her breath away freezing and exhausted

shocked to see the mess

clothes and furniture scattered as if ransacked

turned running out screaming

the scene captured on camera and video tape

clearly visible the shape!

 

Security were quickly outside calming the female

they too taken aback by the mess

when excitement had subsided reviewed footage

what seemed a transparent

woman in a long dress walked out and down the hall

then disappeared through a wall!

 

Followed by the woman screaming in a state of panic

on searching records they found

somebody had died under suspicious circumstances

but it was thought a suicide

it was an unsolved enigma as nothing else found

destined to become profound!

 

No records showed it had ever been reported before

by patrons or hotel staff

so it remains part of an incident with proof it occurred

an atmosphere resides

now guests are eager to stay hoping for an appearance

of the ghost certainly a chance!

The Birthday Party!

It would be a party to remember they had said

before leaving for the club.

Already light-headed from the drink consumed

bought from the super market.

The happy group was soon at the night spot

eagerly having their first shot!

 

No cares in the world as the music became louder

one girl in particular was noisy.

Known for her vile temper especially after drinking

by midnight it became a frenzy.

They were dancing when a group of lads arrived

and their privacy deprived!

 

Enjoying themselves in their male free booze zone

the girl with the angry streak.

Began objecting to their very suggestive behaviour

after all it was her birthday party.

as one lad tried to kiss her she exploded in rage

her life turned to a dark page!

 

From the noisy and exciting birthday bash into chaos

as she picked up a bottle.

Bringing it down on his head with a violent force

he collapsed on the floor!

Amongst the other revellers and screaming mates

with her no time for debates!

 

Realising what she had done ran out in a panic

not only pursued by bouncers.

Her disbelieving friends and his yelling mates

who were intent on revenge!

The last girl they caught pushing her into a fence

no chance of defence!

 

Police soon arrested the angry warring teenagers

arresting the girl and the male.

The birthday ending in a sad and violent affray

but both victims recovered well.

Lessons were learnt as it could have been a life lost

at an irreversible cost!

 

Justice was served a suspended sentence for her

and a caution for them!

 

It did not stop them getting drunk a few weeks later!
