Why is it so lonely
without you
what had I done
felt helpless
being in the dark
everyday
ended yesterday
no reason why
just cannot cry
said you hated me
am so confused
no idea what to say

As the young nurse battled to help the child
a bullet pieced her brain
she laid next to the traumatized youngster
as black smoke billowed
all around them as others through stones
just wanting to be left alone
many more were hit as they loudly protested
as the soldier mocked and jested!
As a powerful nation was intent on eliminating
a race of people they hated
no mercy for their lives or culture were given
just a cold psychotic belief
that they were simply in their way and must go
total annihilation the final aim
even with the outcry by many nations to cease
from the aggressor would find no peace!
Even those reporting these outrageous sights
were always in the snipers sights
the world watched seemly helpless to intervene
onward rolled the killing machine!

The pain lasted a split second like a sting
true there were flying insects
as she walked by the fast flowing river
the irritation that followed
soon began to swell on her upper arm
it started to cause alarm!
Determined to finish her relaxing stroll
though that hope was fading
had to rest luckily a large tree was close
drowsiness overcame her
was soon in a deep and unnatural sleep
into a dark place her mind did leap!
Leaning helplessly back against the bark
became aware of creatures
of unknown origin approaching casually
could not move or scream
being dragged nearer the rivers fast flow
terror building to a crescendo!
Into the swirling waters her body did go
grasped by claws pulling her
down into a murky subterranean realm
dark damp a smell of decay
watching these freakish beings with care
trying hard not to stare!
Tried to keep still and shallowly breath
several gazed her way
eyes sunk that started to glow advanced
saw the teeth felt the bite
as severe pain surged through her torso
the transformation slow!
Last recollection was screaming for mercy
so cold could see and feel
surely it must have been an awful dream
until she was now basking
not of human anatomy on the riverbank
an alien beast into the water sank!
No dream but an unbelievable reality!

They were close by when the house exploded
certain somebody was within
the two teenagers ran without any thought
for their own well-being
the detached house was soon engulfed in fire
flames rapidly rising higher!
The heat so intense could only watch helplessly
in the distance sirens echoed
as neighbours slowly ventured out to observe
at that moment both saw
coming out of the ruins a woman unharmed
as if by magic charmed!
Backing away at this unbelievable encounter
this being came up to them
naked yet no sign of skin damage of any kind
stared with light blue eyes
afraid for their safety would both lives be taken
but they were mistaken!
Instantly becoming shrouded in a scaly cover
turned and walked away
faded until she had gone from sight both ran
unsure of what had happened
it seemed the house was a known gang base
those inside gone without a trace!
Neither teenager came forward as a witness
to afraid to say anything
who would believe their description anyway
but pondered the questions
who or what she was and from where came
surviving the explosion and flame?
More were to come each as baffling as the other!
What was going on?

When he had murdered his latest victim the killer
left them to be easily found
calmly he smiled leaving without conscience
making sure he was not in vision
frustrating the police forces leaving no clues
nothing on which to peruse!
Cunning and meticulous in methods of murder
certain never to be caught
finding his next victim he watched the woman
get into an expensive car
driving off the forecourt of a luxury apartment
intent on her life to dispense!
Already knew her routine parked in the car park
in the office block she worked
he knew where the security cameras were placed
as she got out attacked her
but knowing self-defence broke from his tight grip
then on an oily patch did slip!
Falling and hitting her head on a concrete pillar
guessed would not wake again
the murderer angry he had failed drove away
leaving her there to pass alone
still sure nothing was left to be incriminating
in his callous mind debating!
As he disappeared from the horrendous scene
though the body lay motionless
the spirit of the woman stood over herself
for a while unable to comprehend
what happened to her as the darkness cleared
and blankness disappeared!
She had to avenge her own pointless death
and remove this evil being
the hardest part leaving her earthly body
she felt somebody was near
with no limits of mobility started the quest
and the killer to infest!
It was hard this was not her physical body
there were no boundaries
though alone sensed an unseen force close
there was a growing rage
able to move at will knowing he was near
heard screams very near!
Like coming out of a mist into clear light
in woodlands saw the beast
bent over a cowering girl about to strike
arm raised knife in hand
how could she stop this murderess spree
shouting he turned to see!
Now looking shaken he stared then just ran
following him screamed
scared stopped at the edge of an overhang
you died in the car park
realising her image was discernible to him
his expectations were grim!
For the first time he was the helpless victim
the spirit moved forward
then the beast lost its balance plummeting
down into a disused well
at that moment found herself back in pain
within her body how insane!
Still in the car park but now on a stretcher
being transported to hospital
had it all been in her imagination puzzled
before the doors shut tight
saw a man waving seemingly unobserved
something special had occurred!
A petrified woman entered the police station
to report her abduction
and tell them a very strange tale of a miracle
of how she was going to die
when the attacker suddenly stopped and ran
like he was a possessed man!

She knew it was not her actions but compelled
by the evil spirit within
where it had found her she had no knowledge
continuously really scared
had tried to seek help from a the local priest
but this was a powerful beast!
Dominating to the point of complete control
whenever it so desired
turning this sweet innocent young woman
into a predatory monster
charm oozing from every orifice and pore
until the victims ran no more!
She always looked beautiful a pleasure to meet
funny a captivating female
men were lured into the chameleons deadly lair
then the mask was removed
revealing the grotesque creature escape futile
carnage created for while!
From that first pleasant meeting it soon changed
to screaming obscenities
before any chance of detection just evaporated
returning in a new location
the woman trapped now helpless and horrified
suffering and inwardly died!
Compelled the real soul within had become lost
but a small spark remained
finding that tiny moment of reality she arrived
at that church doorway
an observant mature priest spotted here there
of her plight was aware!
An experienced exorcist was careful on approach
not to arouse the beast
lured it covertly into a secure and sealed room
tying the battered body
in a heavy oak chair bolted firmly to the solid floor
was it too late he was not sure!
The desperate battle to expel evil had begun
could her weak possessed soul survive?
