True Love!

He had waited it seemed so long for love

then his heart pounded

at an office party found himself drawn

to a very alluring lady

had never seen her before this night

beautiful a pure delight!

They talked and danced until early light

they were meant to be

eventually parted after a passionate kiss

confirming their second date

over the next few months love bloomed

he was unaware it was doomed!

At the start all was a life of magical bliss

within a month moving in

love-making was good yet it felt wrong

she acted too clinical

soon noticed she did not eat anything

or drink alarm bells did ring!

From that initial attraction suspicion grew

there was a coldness

he had not noticed before becoming wary

yet she looked so perfect

decided it best to end this strained affair

his life with her could not share!

Why had he got that reluctance to explain

why his feelings had changed

but summing up the courage now spoke

she seemed more distant

as they sat together on the large settee

he just wanted to be free!

From being truly elated he had found love

to dumping the stunning woman

but he had become terrified being close

after the words were spoken

her mood changed and the reply stark

as venomous words it did spark!

Without emotion said he could not leave

had never loved a human before

was an android living within our society

he was shaken to the core

got up to escape this beast foolishly said

its hand hit his head!

Down in the busy street a body battered

on the pavement spattered!

He never did find his true Love!

Bus Stop!

The young woman waited for the late night bus

as she often did after visiting her mum

always alone it had never bothered her before

but that night the bus was late arriving

at first did not notice the dark clothed figure

when she did panic it did trigger!

Where it had come from had heard no sound

with the light in the shelter could see

it was possibly a gaunt looking teenage girl

the clothing seemed dirty and ragged

not wanting to stare tried not glance that way

here certainly not wanting to stay!

There was no gestures yet a presence was felt

making a large gap between them

was really scared so glad when the bus came

jumping on as the doors opened

had not realised how cold she had become

wished she had stayed with mum!

It was then realised she was the only one

the girl had not got on behind her

when getting off enquired with the driver

had he seen the other passenger

replied calmly that nobody was waiting

simply to her the story relating!

Added she was not the first who had asked

others to witnessed the ghost

as many years before at that spot a girl died

murdered while waiting for a bus

nobody was ever caught for this awful crime

her spirit doomed to haunt for all time!

She never waited for a bus at that stop again

often in her thoughts the images did remain!

Ebbing Away!

In his sixties looked around at the people

talking and chatting together

yet sat on his own as if he was not seen

in the eighties he remembered

laying in a hospital bed life ebbing away

was it his moment that day?

After an operation was left bleeding inside

but for an observant doctor

would not be sitting feeling life had halted

nothing had worked out since

certain within himself he was not depressed

filled with self-pity or stressed!

Nothing had worked out thought he was nice

never fell out with others

had one job most of his reasonably long life

two ex-wives that was bad

nobody else had connected with him since

himself tried to convince!

As far as memory would stretch he was sure

tried to move forward

yet always it was blocked each time failed

the sensation of going around

in the same circle unable to break free

never to this day the escapee!

Trapped in a miniature transparent dome

watching time pass by

unable to communicate in a state of stasis

was this just imagination

or a reality that he was doomed to repeat

until there was no heartbeat!
