Little Understanding!

There seems little understanding of how others live

is common amongst those who should understand

corruption from leaders that find it hard to forgive

just wanting to rule and dominate their homeland

coldly not caring for the people’s self-preservation

as the families suffer with increasing inflation!

 

How the people are struggling with nowhere to go

endlessly wondering as their countries are dying

no support or compassion with the constant flow

lives destroyed starvation disease yet still defying

countries often judged by those at their head

with despair all around there are too many dead!

 

Surely there must be a much brighter tomorrow

can there be a strong faith to overcome sorrow

often it is the rulers creating the internal strife

while they and their cronies have the good life!

Divided!

Born in the small town then a community

equality part of daily routine

violence the occasional drunken brawl

or disgruntled married couples

no threats to walk out any time alone

or thought of a home invasion

robbed and attacked by masked raiders

these criminal inside traders!

 

Now not safe even within your own home

little protection by the law

bad guys have a free access to our lives

fraud is a profitable sport

workers have their money taken in taxes

with less rights than perpetrators

as law and order for most has fallen apart

corruption is off the statistic chart!

 

Those open integrated communities absent

gangs have divided and destroyed

where families struggle to leave so scared

no entry areas you now fear to tread

murders of the young and those foolish to go

many that used to serve and protect

often avoid these volatile flash points of doom

where the evil predators loom!

 

Do you know what is happening around you

the once thriving shopping centres

businesses closing down charity shops rule

more sleeping rough begging

who once had homes with a future and hope

as drunks increase with intent

vandalising and fighting no purpose anymore

helplessly we watch and deplore!

 

Once small familiar peaceful neighbourhoods

are now part of historical records

as the shape of things to come are not good

where we are guided to believe

life will be better in this materialistic society

where most are in debt to the few

who can be trusted surely we are manipulated

and every aspect of life infiltrated!

Inside!

Who can tell what is inside the human mind

how it thinks or truly feels

up to what age are we considered innocent

or something some never are

is it through inbreeding upbringing or DNA

that any feelings went away?

 

Are many born cold without any emotions

detached from care and love

able to kill without any mercy or conscience

from their very young age

any opinions and personality not yet fused

without history of themselves abused!

 

No reasons or any remorse take another life

is this instinct deep within

when children or young teenagers display

such traits of behaviour

does it not make you think how can this be

what perception of life do they see?

 

Gone that time when from birth to adulthood

it was of exploration and learning

now those with problems just misunderstood

the tide of corruption forever burning!

 

Can some be evil before their conception?

Powerful!

Powerful he stood leader of the mighty nation

once they set the standard

for its authority self-approval and egotism

an economy of immense wealth

the glory days have faded no longer in control

lost now that almighty role!

 

Corruption and mistrust sour the ruling party

fear of another invasion

has weakened its structure as well as self belief

with more violence flaring

law enforcement is under a rising onslaught

where in the middle caught!

 

Other major powers are an unpredictable threat

they seem to follow satan’s law

where humankind are of no importance at all

our destruction a by-product

the separation between good and evil merging

the annihilation of cultures surging!

 

Will future leaders guide us from these dark forces

or take us further down fatal courses?

That Moment Of birth!

That moment of a birth the joy and pride

expectations for the perfect future

but often this is not always the fairy tale story

of many whose lives are of misery

and squalor brought up in a violent background

guns and bombs the only sound!

 

Hounded with families out of their natural homes

through history the pattern repeats

stability is something that millions can never know

forced to be nomadic not by choice

some overcome adversity and find the good path

others it will lead to wrath!

 

It has to be said even those in theory who are born

into society’s good life stray

humans can too often be easily led the wrong way

poverty is far from misguiding

for those who have the misfortune to live that life

facing years of this strife!

 

Help is offered in different ways in these catastrophes

aid to support and give a little hope

countries involved do not seem to help their people

relying on aid from western countries

yet hatred and tribal disputes over centuries exist

and hope of peace many do resist!

 

Major nations pursue to take sides violence persists

the compassion factor ignored

corruption or greed has always been in our makeup

nothing has changed in that process

even with the unstable and endless human unrest

is there still not much to be blest?

 

I refuse to give up the belief in mankind just yet!
