Hands of Destruction!

The millions struggling to cope with life

seeking to find happiness

anyway they can in a controlling society

where violence is close by

moments of joy snatched before its taken

the innocent are forsaken!

The clash of different cultures is it a myth

instigated to divide us

when the people want to interact as one

sharing their friendship

not wanting to inflict such awful suffering

as humanity is stuttering!

Are we not the same people from all nations

hating each other by actions

taken by those we trust for our existence

to safeguard our security

but now the fear of attack has escalated

our lives too complicated!

What will each day bring more uncertainty

as out there evil doth prey

as the darkness engulfs unsuspecting beings

nowhere for us to go and hide

those hands of destruction grow stronger

as common sense exists no longer!

Let Peace Love and Cooperation be more

than hollow words to stop the war!

Knife Attack!

The teenager stood seething anger in his eyes

with a knife gripped in his trembling hand.

it was not fear he felt that night but hatred

confronting a stranger in a drunken rage

then in one motion he plunged in the blade.

again into the youths chest blood sprayed!

The perpetrator of this vile and senseless act

smirked without emotion in his pitiless eyes.

still gripping the knife he just ran away

leaving an innocent young life dying.

as a group of people like ghouls starred

not one tried to help none of them cared!

Police in force then cordoned off the scene

as the victim was rushed to the hospital

any hope faded fast and sadly he died

soon flowers were being left at the site

where a pointless death transpired tonight!

According to statistics it is said violent crime

was rapidly on the decline

even one death leaves devastation behind

the tension has not evaporated

there is always that simmering provocation

anger and lack of cooperation!

The risk is always present on the streets!
