Blindly!

Standing on the roadside watching

endless traffic like a blur

though their minds are out of sync

going blindly towards oblivion

without thought of consequences

or actions to any other lives

just no one else to them mattered

nor whose existence battered!

 

Acting in their vehicles as if reflecting

the way humans interact

cannot stop them their needs rule

priority is for themselves

why buy easier to take from others

violence is an acceptable factor

empathy to them a sign of weakness

always be tough no meekness!

 

Dominate the weak care not how they live

just as long as you are alright

surge on with no thought lie steal cheat

pollute why protect this habitat

feeling protected in their own metal box

their territory within untouched

the masses live in a fabricated environment

where only the selected are content!

Experiment!

The sedated patient laid on the trolley

her spine was exposed

a masked gowned figure approached

ready to begin the procedure

in this sterile environment secret lab

she laid still on the slab!

 

A secret facility where an experiment

was just about to proceed

conditions here were of a high standard

the spores could not be tainted

as the spinal needle was inserted to inject

the contents they had to protect!

 

The space between the vertebrae was located

the fine sharp needle entered

piercing the dura contents slowly expelled

into the female spinal fluid

roughly onto her back to await the reaction

the first muscle contraction!

 

More victims lay in cubicles just abandoned

or were due to be used

hideously deformed from the failed research

but their latest victim

was different for she had seemed to accept

the alien blood did not reject!

 

Putting her into a locked and padded cell

with cameras at every angle

observing each movement every twitch

success they knew was close

not knowing what the hours would bring

or outcome of DNA splicing!

 

Physically the woman was still beautiful

at that moment calm

chemical receptors were at hyper mode

her reflexes became rapid

unable to counteract arising aggression

their work was an obsession!

 

With incredible strength at high-speed

she fled into barren countryside

leaving a scene devastation and carnage

a deadly new species created

nothing now could stop it from evolving

no longer hope of resolving!

 

Unstoppable the hybrid went on the rampage

another scientific failure out of control!
