Hovering!

He sat there alone in the fast food restaurant

his arm was burning wanted shout

what was that thing hovering in the field

never seen anything like that

should have kept away why investigate

as his mouth started to salivate!

 

Tried drinking the coffee but was so thirsty

becoming agitated with the noise

certain others were watching him intently

heard a banging sound realised

his knees were hitting underside of the table

his mind and physical being unstable!

 

Just out walking the dog shit where was Jack

knew had to leave or would explode

knocking into people he no longer could see

wandered out onto the main road

bus driver said from nowhere was on the road

without any hesitation strode!

 

At the same moment a young couple discovered

a small dog barking at a field gate

taking a stroll on along a well-known lovers track

tried to get near the excited animal

who ran off into that empty field as if in pursuit

unsettled did not follow its route!

 

Been here on numerous occasions a rural haven

yet retreating eager to go home

heard the fearful cry that sounded like an animal

from a slow pace had the urge to run

from behind a noise like galloping horses on dirt

sensing danger they would be hurt!

 

Out of breath they got safely back to their car

clicking key fob to open doors

in a heightened state of panic both jumped in

would the engine start-up

relieved as it roared into life foot down they left

their emotions were bereft!

 

Where they had just departed the alien arrived

the taste for human prey instilled

wings spread drooling acid saliva through teeth

mercilessly sharp and pointed

cloaked returned to its hidden craft and lair

a malevolent being all were unaware!

 

Soon more would come of this ruthless breed!

Warning!

There was a warning but only a second

the space station shattered

a huge object passed by no survivors

on earth nothing was picked up

oblivious the cloaked mass had arrived

to earth’s radar disguised!

 

Emerged at warp speed into our space

from another dimension

linked with earth’s molecular structure

returned to its creation

after long observation decision eliminate

for the human race no debate!

 

Desecration of the small planets resources

endless conflicts and suffering

disregard for any other life on its surface

with increase to the threat

of annihilation and spread of its brutality

to universes had brought finality!

 

With a few dominating the vast multitude

in disarray at the elite control

as godliness was overtaken by the soulless

the experiment was ended

the mass engulfed this once alluring creation

completing the extermination!

 

Leaving an empty void where once life had existed!

Uncharted!

The battleship neared the planet going into orbit

classed as a routine exploration

of the vast an uncharted sector of this galaxy

as yet no contact had been made

this did not bode well there was an anticipation

trouble stirred at this destination!

 

During the scan of the planets barren service

signs of life were discovered

not of a basic form but one highly advanced

cautiously going on red alert

detecting a missile launch from surface below

following the rising glow!

 

Safety protocols immediately brought on-line

then retreated out of orbit

shields raised to protect the ship from damage

ready for impending impact

if their weapons this object could not  destroy

evasive action would employ!

 

More missiles rapidly followed after the first

but there were none that hit

other spacecraft were detected approaching

this must be a hidden base

that they had stumbled upon that was cloaked

trouble they had not provoked!

 

Deciding it was in their interest to exit the sector

and continue their exploration

but sensed this unknown race would be trouble

as it was known marauders

were unchallenged attacking any passing ships

yet making no fatal slips!

 

Though a battleship without the rest of the star fleet

it would not be wise to engage

but gather information and report back command

this encounter was unexpected

as the ship  went into hyper drive they were not alone

another craft followed into this zone.

 

Now they knew there was an enemy and danger close

the battle fleet summoned

they would let the scout ship follow for now untouched

knowing the enemy were near

soon space would erupt into a major dog fight and war

creating breaches in intergalatic law!

 

The long war had now begun!

The Carriage!

In a railway siding an armoured carriage

was shunted in late at night.

There were many soldiers as well as police

patrolling the sprawling yards.

Weapons with live ammunition snipers ready

trying to keep nerves steady!

 

This was a top-secret joint military operation

something imprisoned inside.

Sound proofed and reinforced to keep it in

not wanting the thing to escape.

The only noise the coupling of the carriage

and a muffled roar of rage!

 

Notices in large red letters read danger hazard

keep off ministry of defence.

A mile away on moorland soldiers gathered

guarding an area perimeter.

Where some kind of craft had been downed

burning and shattered on the ground!

 

From within an alien being was discovered dead

but a second was found alive.

Close by unhurt in what looked like an escape pod

wondering about dazed.

Tranquilizer darts quickly neutralized the foe

it’s capability’s they didn’t know!

 

The alien being was large and extremely heavy

almost prehistoric in description.

Hastily caged and restrained in the carriage

to get on a plane that night.

From the sidings  they started on their secret trip

the creature and it’s ship.

 

But the military who thought they were superior

secretive and totally secure.

Had not realised the craft was not on its own

as they moved the carriage.

Acting with suspicion thinking it was hostile

being viewed mile on mile!

 

But above hovered an undetected cloaked craft

ready to instigate a rescue!

With all the surveillance they were unaware

the train screeched to a stop.

Weapons couldn’t fire then a bright beam

shone down in a wide stream!

 

The carriage locks broke the doors just opened

and the creature was lifted.

Into the waiting ship which rapidly accelerated

high into the atmosphere.

Then it had gone leaving the military helpless

their prize now in spaces vast emptiness!

 

Man may think he’s superior and strong

but in truth this certainly is wrong!

 

Would these aliens return in a more hostile mood!
