Touch!

Not used to that touch of a hand on her face

that smile and soft kind eyes

there was no evil glare of intent as they hit

her frail body in terror alone

abused for days without food or any drink

to quench or give her strength

to sustain this innocent young persons fear

for her there was no mercy near!

Managed to escape these captors who cruelly

wrenched her away from friends

while out just walking and so happily chatting

lured by men who seemed kind

who offered to buy them all drink to consume

but the others were suspicious

and got away but she sadly was not fortunate

realising the dangers far too late!

Her parents were frantic at receiving the news

a wide search was implemented

every news outlet carried the abduction story

from days into weeks fear grew

all this time the brave girl never gave up hope

her chance came as they slept

weak yet the adrenaline flowed had to get back

courage and determination did not lack!

Shivering so scared was picked up by a police

patrol unit who had been called

by a worried resident who saw her pass by

their house but had walked on

there on a bench she sat eyes full of tears

the police woman showed that

gentle touch that had been so long denied

sitting closely by her side!

Then the voice she knew so well mum was here

united with love that hug so good

the shaking subsided now safe dad and sister to

together in unity alive and snug

never wanting to ever let any of them out of sight

as her arms gripped them so tight!

Lake!

Upon the lake the water swirled

as being drained away

on the shore two anglers stood

patiently casting lines

a huge ripple became a shower

making the men cower!

Knocked off their feet as it fell

cascading down like rain

the tranquil lake had erupted

startled they laid

for seconds both were dazed

with the event fazed!

Shaken got up and witnessed

a luminous procession

of  beings gliding over water

from a disk hovering

no sound a ghostly apparition

focused on a mission!

Or so it was how they described

leaving their gear

running away that chilly night

others reported it to

that baffling unexpected sight

emitting a spectral light!

Into the surrounding tree line

the images vanished

so did the craft had it returned

to a murky lake bed

or just a memory from history

was the nagging mystery!

Many brave or foolish searched

through following days

yet no evidence could be found

above or below the lake

raised radiation levels detected

the whole area infected!

Too many questions unanswered

without real proof

but this was only the beginning

of the phenomenon

as the investigations continued

for proof they pursued!

Unexplained phenomena emerged

on the area converged!

That Day!

The weather was at last good on that day

as the countless military craft

headed for the designated landing beach

soldiers and sailors ready to fight

face the formidable enemy forces as one

their resolve had to be strong!

Socializing before the normality ended

many nations together in unity

differences put aside to defeat the foe

navy guns firing overhead

to wipe out the damaging gun positions

creating lethal conditions!

Onward without ceasing charged the brave

knowing they could not fail

into history to breach those enemy lines

at a terrible cost of comrades

planes dropping bombs noise and smoke

in their lungs made them choke!

Fighters back on their home soil side by side

many there for god and country

others dying to free their people from tyranny

civilians also slain on that day

as the allies spearheaded the bloody onslaught

each step desperately fought!

This being the first major step to Victory!

The Monastery!

The monastery partly a ruin being centuries old

popular for many ghost hunters.

Trying to prove or disprove by varies methods

any existence of ghostly visitations!

Amongst the impressive crumbling architecture

the imagination heightened for sure!

Tales of hooded monks seen walking in dark places

or surrounding burial ground.

The ghost hunters enthusiastically came to stalk

on this open bleak moorland.

You can feel the prickly static electricity everywhere

that alone gives you a scare!

Often a low mist hangs over an exposed monastery

giving it that typical haunted image.

On this particular winters night a group arrived

inexperienced and impressionable.

Investigating this known documented haunted site

what would they find on this night?

Straight away every one had that uneasy sensation

they were being closely scanned.

But put it down to atmospheric conditions created

as they each began to prepare.

They formed into a circle this was how they started

trying to connect with the departed.

Now late in the evening becoming cold and misty

they felt shivery and chilled!

Two of the six were certain they had been touched

one on the head one on the back!

Another in the infra-red light saw shadow appear

in awe said it was so clear!

An hour later split into three’s for the viduals

in the areas of reported sightings.

And they certainly would not be disappointed

three girls sat in the monastery.

When they all heard close by a very loud bang

and from above a bell rang!

Taking a cautious look around nothing was found

staying calm took photos.

Certain something was stood by the small altar

decided to do an EVP session!

Replaying the recording picked up a woman crying

saying faintly she was dying!

Having to quickly exit as an object was thrown

certain now they were not alone!

The other group could see them run outside

wandering amongst silent stones.

Where a thick mist formed in a human shape

they also had to escape!

Gathering in the tiny nearby car park shaking

pleased at what they had caught.

Hurriedly collecting equipment left at five am

eager to review their findings.

As they departed by the main monastery door

a shadow rose from the floor!

Brave or foolish they wanted to come back for more!
