Battled!

As the young nurse battled to help the child

a bullet pieced her brain

she laid next to the traumatized youngster

as black smoke billowed

all around them as others through stones

just wanting to be left alone

many more were hit as they loudly protested

as the soldier mocked and jested!

 

As a powerful nation was intent on eliminating

a race of people they hated

no mercy for their lives or culture were given

just a cold psychotic belief

that they were simply in their way and must go

total annihilation the final aim

even with the outcry by many nations to cease

from the aggressor would find no peace!

 

Even those reporting these outrageous sights

were always in the snipers sights

the world watched seemly helpless to intervene

onward rolled the killing machine!

Warning!

There was a warning but only a second

the space station shattered

a huge object passed by no survivors

on earth nothing was picked up

oblivious the cloaked mass had arrived

to earth’s radar disguised!

 

Emerged at warp speed into our space

from another dimension

linked with earth’s molecular structure

returned to its creation

after long observation decision eliminate

for the human race no debate!

 

Desecration of the small planets resources

endless conflicts and suffering

disregard for any other life on its surface

with increase to the threat

of annihilation and spread of its brutality

to universes had brought finality!

 

With a few dominating the vast multitude

in disarray at the elite control

as godliness was overtaken by the soulless

the experiment was ended

the mass engulfed this once alluring creation

completing the extermination!

 

Leaving an empty void where once life had existed!

Powerful!

Powerful he stood leader of the mighty nation

once they set the standard

for its authority self-approval and egotism

an economy of immense wealth

the glory days have faded no longer in control

lost now that almighty role!

 

Corruption and mistrust sour the ruling party

fear of another invasion

has weakened its structure as well as self belief

with more violence flaring

law enforcement is under a rising onslaught

where in the middle caught!

 

Other major powers are an unpredictable threat

they seem to follow satan’s law

where humankind are of no importance at all

our destruction a by-product

the separation between good and evil merging

the annihilation of cultures surging!

 

Will future leaders guide us from these dark forces

or take us further down fatal courses?

Nuclear Blast!

The high metal lamp-post had been bent

with the force of the explosion.

Everything below was flat from the blast

nothing left all destroyed.

Though threatened none really expected

nor ever suspected.

 

That somebody would really carry it out

but it was not a nation.

Who radically changed histories course

but an unknown group!

With extreme ideas and limitless reserve

not for them life to preserve!

 

A vast area once a thriving city expunged

radioactive dust settled!

Search for victims and culprits the priority

containment their focus.

The media screens showed endless footage

as anger turned to rage!

 

What had been put forward as a scenario

was there each to see.

Billions watched not ancient newsreels

 

this was the awakening!

They heeded that unity was the solution

or annihilation the conclusion!

 

One hundred years forward war a memory

humans entwined in harmony.

The planet heeled from man’s dissection

yet elements still existed.

Rumbles of  the past savagery simmered

the cycle once more glimmered!
