Early!

An early morning jog was the normal routine

left the house as the light awoke

before her partner had risen from slumber

taking her normal jogging route

but she never returned home upon that day

as her husband watched the driveway!

 

For the time they had been married worried

about the runs she always took alone

always assured him there was nothing to fear

notified the police she had not returned

a full search of the area was rapidly begun

the scale of the mystery would stun!

 

Over the months the husband was suspected

of abduction and his wife’s murder

but no connection or evidence could be found

so it was dropped he was shaken

feeling they did not really believe his account

as the pressure on his health did mount!

 

When reports of dozens more disappearances

emerged before his wifes and after

a different perspective to the enquiries ensued

more into a science fiction scenario

the possibility of alien abduction was cited

as world interest was ignited!

 

It was a rural area woods fields and farmland

strange lights and object had been seen

not until many had vanished was it connected

the plan to step up security and patrols

did not stop others going missing from sight

whether during the day or night!

 

No bodies were ever recovered or any contact

from the missing was recorded

an increase in sightings in the copse and land

of monsters or humanoid figures

unidentified craft filling the once clear skies

giving the expert a lot to analyse!

 

Those who dared came to seek out the riddle

as families had to come to terms

at the loss and not knowing what happened

or where their loved ones were

an ora of suspicion had pervaded this haven

beautiful unspoilt on the world blazon!

 

A medieval mood where a creeping malevolent

force invaded and nothing thrived

so it is to this day where the husband still waits

afraid like all the locals to leave

the relative safety of their houses in night hours

as its been taken over by dark powers!

There!

It was just there one summers evening a car

a small blue hatchback

parked in a clearly painted no parking zone

did not look abandoned

front seats back as if both had been asleep

near to shops hotel and café

police were often driving by not concerned

to eliminate foul play they spurned!

 

Whatever the reasons it seemed nobody cared

no signs of violence or abductions

just as though the owners had simply vanished

a nice motor why was it here

police did not want to know nor even curious

to take a close up inspection

of the boot to see if a body was stuffed inside

or the owners safety clarified!

 

So it stands from nice small car to a total wreck

but who owns this vehicle

informed the council said they would check it

then stick a label on the window

not filling me with much confidence or trust

or that anybody seems bothered

to clear away or investigate any discarded motor

for public safety not a good promoter!

 

Wonder what the history of it will turn out to be

stolen or just simply forsaken

just maybe there is a real sinister tale to be told

the length of time being ignored

a scandal as the delay should have been averted

highlighting the cuts in the budget

with interest wait to see if  a crime was involved

also whether it will ever be solved!

Touch!

Not used to that touch of a hand on her face

that smile and soft kind eyes

there was no evil glare of intent as they hit

her frail body in terror alone

abused for days without food or any drink

to quench or give her strength

to sustain this innocent young persons fear

for her there was no mercy near!

 

Managed to escape these captors who cruelly

wrenched her away from friends

while out just walking and so happily chatting

lured by men who seemed kind

who offered to buy them all drink to consume

but the others were suspicious

and got away but she sadly was not fortunate

realising the dangers far too late!

 

Her parents were frantic at receiving the news

a wide search was implemented

every news outlet carried the abduction story

from days into weeks fear grew

all this time the brave girl never gave up hope

her chance came as they slept

weak yet the adrenaline flowed had to get back

courage and determination did not lack!

 

Shivering so scared was picked up by a police

patrol unit who had been called

by a worried resident who saw her pass by

their house but had walked on

there on a bench she sat eyes full of tears

the police woman showed that

gentle touch that had been so long denied

sitting closely by her side!

 

Then the voice she knew so well mum was here

united with love that hug so good

the shaking subsided now safe dad and sister to

together in unity alive and snug

never wanting to ever let any of them out of sight

as her arms gripped them so tight!

Warehouse!

The warehouse was inconspicuous on the trading estate

at the edge of the town border

no signs to indicate ownership or what its function

a high new fence encased it

no visible security cameras could either of them see

which seemed weird had to agree!

 

Usually loved to explore dank abandoned buildings

but this had an aura about it

certain it hid secrets from any unsuspecting gaze

against their policy of caution

both found themselves walking around the border

with night vision camcorder!

 

Dim lights could be seen through covered windows

made their adrenaline surge

on a soft piece of ground were able to squeeze under

onto crumbling concrete

filled with stale and foul-smelling water they cursed

in their adventure were immersed!

 

Moved they thought covertly to the warehouse side

door that on inspection was open

unnerved thinking had somebody entered already

pulling it open quickly went in

faint footsteps could clearly be heard very close by

both scared could not lie!

 

With the low light emitted inside could see the interior

nothing was there just empty

but a vibration felt right under their feet and a hum

made their ears begin to ache

voices now heard getting close in one corner found

a rusting bench tried not to make a sound!

 

As figures came into view spoke a strange language

in the centre of the vast warehouse

a shape appeared to be slowly becoming illuminated

as time passed were becoming agitated!

 

As the object was getting more defined were shaken

it was what could be described as a craft

a large metallic disc materialised while they gazed

and they were not fellow humans

but five tall fearsome lizard like creatures assembled

the craft was hovering both trembled!

 

Unable to contain emotions one moved his foot slightly

knocking a piece of metal that rolled

alerting the group who instantly headed their way

unable to escape the creatures were fast

towards the spacecraft were both quickly dragged

their will power and energy sagged!

 

An entrance opened in its side and steps slid down

they were hauled into the interior

it closed the craft vanished in a shimmering haze

two teenage girls ran to the spot

speechless had recorded this unbelievable event

sorry this abduction could not prevent!

 

Fearing for their own safety made a brisk departure

knowing these aliens would come back

had monitored this site remotely but their first visit

realising the dangers here within

could only hope these lads would hopefully return

for now their own lives their only concern!

 

With stealth left to review the terrifying footage shot

holding on trying not to lose the plot!

Abduction!

The young couple first met at college

not instant love but it grew.

Through their studies they progressed

eventually settling down.

Buying their nice idyllic suburban home

their hobby they liked to roam.

 

On a summer’s evening decided to travel

to the coast for a break.

Happy and contented set off for the sea

travelling on lonely roads.

As dusk approached they noticed a light

like a star but far more bright!

 

Just  a glimpse as they were very excited

as from a hill they saw the resort.

By now it was dark as many stars twinkled

but this one object was close.

It seemed to be following at a rapid speed

then they began to heed!

 

They were now entering their destination

how strange they thought.

Pulling into a car park they both felt tired

their watches had stopped!

Entering a supermarket they noticed a clock

two hours of time lost a shock!

 

Their last memory that approaching light

now their bodies began to hurt!

After having a pot of tea felt a little better

going onto the booked motel.

It was after a shower the marks were clear

how they got them no idea!

 

Weeks passed yet both were unable to settle

reading an article on alien abductions.

Though sceptical they had to find out more

was this what happened to them?

Under hypnosis to their dismay it  was true

their beliefs they had to review!

 

As the details of their ordeal became clear

they realised the meaning of fear!

That others told the same tale was a concern

it was very likely they would return!

 

Do you believe that Alien Abduction is real
