Empty Carriage!

With only minutes to spare to catch the train

she boarded the empty carriage.

Thought it odd hearing a door open and close

nobody was on the platform!

Before sitting checked to see who had got on

nervous as the journey was long!

Nobody boarded assumed they’d gone else where

so relaxed to take a knapp.

The warmth rhythm and motion made her doze

waking as her seat was pushed!

Thinking somebody was behind her was annoying

as sleep she had been enjoying.

When it happened once again got up to complain

but the seat was empty.

This the young woman certainly wasn’t expecting

and was still on her own!

Now that sensation of impending doom dawned

what evil here was spawned?

The sliding doors at one end opened and closed

then soon after at the other!

But no visible soul entered the empty carriage

as she lost her balance.

Falling hitting her head with a glancing blow

that happened very slow!

It was though a person had cushioned her fall

sitting dazed saw a reflection.

That looked like a man standing by her side

but nothing was there!

Afraid to move again stayed firmly in her seat

until her journey was complete.

As soon as it stopped she ran to get off the train

not even seeing any staff.

With the urge to glance back into her carriage

she was sure somebody was there.

As it pulled out and faded into the darkness

she released her stress!

Now in her car she still didn’t feel alone!
