The Isolated Ranch!

On the isolated ranch few visitors ever came

the father a hard worker.

Inherited the vast ten thousand acre spread

from his strict parents.

His wife two sons and a daughter lived here

conditions rather austere.

Not a wilderness to be wandering on your own

where herds of cattle roamed.

And stories of  monsters and ghosts were told

once it was open plains.

Where native indians and buffaloes were prey

when settlers began to stray!

Over the many generation of human hardship

unexplained events occurred!

Their live stock was being found mutilated

making them become more alert.

Blood drained the bodies surgically dissected

detected when closely inspected!

Also it was common to see lights coming down

and then rapidly rising again!

What it was nothing could be actually proved

unmarked helicopters hovered!

A blanket of silence and misinformation existed

official reason they resisted!

knowing there were creatures of unknown origin

finding foot prints of weird design.

Father and sons while camping saw large shapes

scurrying in the shadows.

The wife and daughter back from dance class

big eyes watched from the grass!

They knew around their isolated ranch on the plains

this unsolved mystery still remains!

The Foureyed Poet.
