The Elderly Man!

In the large open city park the trees swayed

as the wind blew the branches.

Leaves were falling onto the wet green grass

autumn had once more arrived.

The elderly man loved to walk his best pal

a friend and companion Al.

Both of them were regularly seen at the park

this cold day no exception.

Jack sat on a bench throwing the same stick

and Al ran to pick up his prize.

Neither noticed three hooded youths nearby

others avoiding them passing by!

Their attention was on the man and his dog

following to an isolated spot.

The two older thugs telling the younger one

to get that old wrinkly!

Turning hearing voices he felt a fist on his face

falling at a rapid pace!

His head hit a stone post then rolled onto his back

through pain and oozing blood.

Saw it was a boy holding in his small hand a knife

as the others shouted stick him!

Al barked at them fiercely but was brutally kicked

his silent masters face he licked!

The two who urged and bullied the youth ran off

he stared at the elderly man.

Blood covering his hands turning he walked away

knife still gripped tightly!

At a nearby pond washed knife and hands clean

drying them sure he was not seen!

Now headed for home walking briskly on his own

no expression did he show.

In his mind hoped he had passed the initiation

he would see the gang later!

No thought or care for what he had just done

admitting to himself it was fun!

A couple walking their dog found Jack and Al

both of them shocked and dismayed.

The hooded youth got into a very hot bath

the stained top in the washer.

His actions started to replay like a video game

life could never be the same!

Is this just fiction or could this actually happen?

  1. Hmm I would say, even if it were fiction, it has happened.
