Was There A Man?

Was there a man sent by an all mighty god

to save and guide humanity

his own son here in a harsh roman period

talking to thousands of followers

creating miracles and healing the sick

was this real or just a clever trick?

It is not for me to make any conclusions

millions believe in their religions

though used as a reason for terrible violence

no way can I judge just quietly observe

can it now unite every people and bond

comfort those who feel wronged!

What I do not understand is the wealth

when there are many with nothing

where is that humility are we not all equal

to share the fruits amongst the flock

mother earth is our church not a dwelling

this thought I find more compelling!

As this season comes to that special day

peace and unity for this I shall pray!
