How I’ve missed your sweet face
it becomes much harder
When I talk on the phone
listening to your voice
But there’s no choice
my destiny’s unknown.
I’m born to roam these lands
this is the way I am
Somebody’s after me
your face I won’t see
But one thing I know
must get out of town.
CH. How I’ve missed your sweet face
for so very long
How I’ve missed your sweet face
shouldn’t have done wrong.
The morning airs so cold
heart aches for your warmth
Fear grips my thoughts again
there’s no where left to run
Now I’ve fired that gun
our lives ruined for sure.
Was it really my evil side
that drove me on to kill
Or my deep love for you
no I’m not the nasty sort
This I’ve often thought
oh how I feel so blue.
CH. How I’ve missed your sweet face
for so very long
How I missed your sweet face
shouldn’t have done wrong.
Weary I just had to rest
no longer could I run
The cops had cornered me
it had come to an end
Soon they’d have me penned
can I ever be free.
In my mind your sweet face
is as fresh as always
Now I miss your warm touch
was I part of your pain
Thinking you used any man
still loving you so much.
CH. How I missed your sweet face
for so very long
How I miss your sweet face
shouldn’t have done you wrong.
Just another lyric I wrote awhile ago. Hope it makes sense to anybody who reads it.
The Foureyed poet.
