What is going on in the world of ghost hunting
now a popular television entertainment.
Are the sights and sounds real or manufactured
put on to falsely bring in the willing crowds
Staged to enthrall and encourage us to view
but in fact it is an allusion none is really true.
Each show last normally for one hour in length
when investigations my take some days.
Alive or recorded easy to bring in special effects
or get somebody making the odd sounds.
In total darkness the imagination works well
not hard to make you think your in the pit of hell.
Money to be made from those eager to take it all in
the shows sold around the electronic planet.
Marketed scripted and packaged in a professional way
ghost hunting by the mass media for all to see.
True or not if it looks good and slick that is alright
disguising any real evidence from sight.
Glamorise it do not tell the facts in their true light
as the genuine investigations yield little.
Not loud bangs or visual images to wet the appetite
just an occasional knock or odd feeling.
To drive you on to find that missing truth or link
a new sensation that does make you think .
Can there be anything around us to to find out
fiction or fact I would like to know.
Television ghost hunters are often great to watch
but a more in depth search is needed
Not glossy or too edited creating false visions
making people believe and causing divisions.
Maybe some of these Television Ghost hunting programmes do have genuine elements in them. But there has to be a temptation to create false images or interpret them to draw in more interest and revenue. Being so edited who makes the choice of images or sounds. And even with live shows so much can be done to create something that could well not be there. Am I a cynic? Possibly as I do belong to a real Scientific Paranormal Investigation Group. How we would like to have at least one experience these TV ghost hunters have had. I would love to join them on their shows and find out just what they do get up to!
