There they stand in all their glory
feeling above the rest of mankind.
In truth they are bland and gory
prone in time to be defined.
Closeley watched as each line and wrinkle appear
hourding vast fortunes but never satisfied.
Always afraid the media will not be near
no exposure would deflate their pride.
How they play the part of the star
shinning their light at every chance.
Money keeps boosting their ego near and far
sensing nothing can stop their advance.
Some survive the love of bright lights and fame
most a five second wonder that fades.
Blending into oblivion they all seem the same
living outside of the glamour trades.
I often think there are to many people who try to become so called stars. By bypassing the hard work and talent the many true stars have earned the hard way. Equally there are many who think they are beuatiful when often they are not and try to keep their looks even as they get older, this I must add does not always apply to the ladies alone. The saying mattun dressed up as lamb springs to mind. Grow old gracefully surely is the best way. But who am I to say, always been an ugly old sod. But I had to put my thoughts into words.
